A mix of Sydney and Dubrovnik, Karla showcased a lot of whites for the Sydney Cruise Fashion Week.
Designer Karla Špetić has been in business since 2008, turning out clean, tailored pieces that feature crisp lines and the occasional graphic element. For Resort 2017, Špetić showed a collection of whites, lilacs and navys that felt perfectly fresh for a holiday. While dresses with oversized beach photos framed by ruffled organza felt like lazy versions of Dolce & Gabbana’s postcard dresses, the ribbed knit dresses with cutouts at the side are just what we want to wear to the office on a sunny spring day.
It was all about lace, whites and romanticism.
Celebrity favourite Karla Špetić sent models down the runway in sheer panelled designs, and cut-out lace and applique.
Stand-out designs in the covetable collection included a floaty jumpsuit with scalloped edges, and a sheer long-sleeved white dress with floral motif.
The lavender prints on jumpsuits, two-piece ensembles and dresses made for a whimsical, summery theme throughout the Resort 17 presentation.
Fresh and natural make along with white ensembles was the highlight of this show.
